About Corey

I am running for Palo Alto City Council because it is time for a NEW VOICE and a NEW PERSPECTIVE to be heard in the City Council. For too long, those elected to the City Council have been insiders from Palo Alto's political circles. As a consequence, Council after Council has reflected the same set of values and business as usual approach that has now become Palo Alto's norm. But, the economic and social problems now facing the City are new and far more complex than those we have previously experienced. We can no longer tolerate an unimaginative, stale approach to resolving our problems.

I have been a member of multiple local neighborhood and school organizations for the last 15 years and am well aware of the difficult choices which must be made as Palo Alto works to resolve the issues we face. My perspective has been shaped by my involvement in these neighborhood and school associations; I have not been trained and bred by the politicians of the past. I have owned and operated my own business (a retail children's clothing store), and I have practiced corporate law for more than 20 years. I will bring a NEW VOICE and a NEW PERSPECTIVE to the City Council, backed up the kind of real life experiences necessary to confront and resolve these issues.
